participez au comité ISO, TC258 Project, Programme et Portfolio Management

Lu dans les News de PMI France-Sud: The International Organization for Standardization, better known as ISO (www.iso.org) is the preeminent organization at the international level for the development of standards. ISO standards have global applicability and are accepted by and developed with input from countries around the world.

A committee within ISO, TC258 Project, Program and Portfolio Management, has begun the development of a number of standards related to project management and related topics, and is currently finalizing its business plan and developing a work plan of standards to be developed.

The members of an ISO committee are countries, with each country providing a delegation of subject matter experts to contribute to the work of developing standards. As TC258 begins work on a number of standards there is a need for subject matter experts to contribute their expertise, time, and effort to this effort.
This presents an opportunity for experts in the field to work with other experts from around the world and to contribute to the direction and content of one or more international standards.

Any subject matter expert is welcome to join and contribute to this activity. The first step is to contact the national standards body for your country (see the list at http://www.iso.org/iso/about/iso_members.htm) and express your interest in participating in TC258 activities. Most countries have what is known as a “mirror committee” for TC258, which meets to determine the national position on issues related to the work of the ISO committee.

Any interested person should first join that mirror committee; delegates from the country to the ISO committee are selected from the members of the mirror committee. Questions regarding ISO standards activities related to project management can be referred to Karl Best, Secretary of ISO PC236 and TC258, at karl.best@pmi.org
