PRINCE2® is a project management methodology, applicable to all types of projects.
It provides the steps you need to take in your project, and normal responsibilities of the team members. It’s adaptable, so you can tailor and use a simple version of it in small projects, and a complex version in large or sensitive projects.
PRINCE2® separates the management layer from the work layer to create the required products which the project needs to create (specialist work). This means that the same management layer can be used for different types of projects. The Management Layer refers to the organization of the project, such as Level 1 = Project Board, Level 2 = Project Manager and Level 3 = Teams.
