In a white paper available free of charge IBM proposes a Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) process to make the best use of existing Agile methodologies (Scrum, RUP, XP..) while scaling up and putting them in the context of a complete solution life-cycle.

PMs will find there a terminology they recognize and can easily relate with rather than the sometimes hermetic one of Agile for new comers with its scrums, sprints, poker planning… Through inception, construction and transition phases, the authors position along the DAD Process the tasks to be done, of course in an Agile way and using many of the scrum and RUP techniques .

So, if you’re still Agile adverse, read this white paper, and you may well see some of these approaches like Scrum, XP, RUP in a new and brighter light.
