Why Project Management only is not enough?

In order to be ready to face changes, any organization needs to have a strong structure, which goes beyond a strong Project Management only: this “strong structure” is the so called P3 Framework, the ProjectProgramme and Portfolio Management (3P in fact) levels within each company or organization.

In fact, after having in place a good Project Management method, organizations usually realize that this is not enough, why? Because you don’t only need to “do your projects right”, but you also need to know “IF you are doing the right projects”, and “IF the projects you are doing deliver the strategic objectives” the organization has set.

How do you do all this? By having your portfolio of projects in line with the programmes of the organization, and by understanding which projects to actually start, out of all the ones in your portfolio: to put it clearly, you need to implement the P3 framework.
